Considering current events (of 2018) with our society, and city, are we as clinicians equipped or unprepared to address trauma experiences? Access to media outlets, be it local news, national news, social media, ect.; trauma plays its role in keeping us abreast on whats going on...Yet, are these sources also desensitizing us and normalizing the incidents reported, resulting in us not seeing a destructive problem or pattern brewing.
Let’s unpack the questions, “are we as clinicians trauma informed?” Paired with the question, “ How do we improve and develop treatment approaches for our clients and areas of practice?”
